Textile art exhibition explores material innovation and circularity.
At Copenhagen Fashion Week, Tencel supported the debut of ‘001’, the first collaborative exhibition by Amalie Røge Hove Geertsen, unveiled at Nikolaj Kunsthal in partnership with Sofie Hermansen and Søren Minds Johannsen.

The exhibition featured sculptural showpieces crafted with Tencel fibres, inviting audiences to experience textiles beyond the body through installations capturing the memory of movement in mirrored surfaces and layered transparencies.

“Featuring Tencel fibres, this partnership has resulted in a thoughtful study in material exploration. It aims to celebrate the circular lifecycle of natural materials, tracing their journey from fibre to thread to body,” said Amalie Røge Hove Geertsen. “I’m immensely grateful for Lenzing Group’s support and the opportunity to present a body of work shaped by our shared belief in collaboration and transparency as driving forces of innovation.”

The result was described as a powerful expression of material innovation, demonstrating that Tencel fibres can influence not only garments but also the spaces and emotions that surround them.
