Leading Japanese manufacturer highlights APEXFiz design software and online services at Intertextile Shanghai.
Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd. of Wakayama, Japan, together with its Hong Kong subsidiary, will exhibit at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition 2025. The company returns to the Digital Solutions Zone, where it will present its latest digital innovations supporting the apparel industry’s ongoing transformation.
Central to the showcase is the APEXFiz subscription-based design software, which enables digital fashion development from planning and colourway evaluation to fabric simulation and 3D virtual sampling. The system allows designers to replace physical sampling with accurate digital prototypes, reducing time, cost and waste while contributing to sustainability. By using scanned yarn data, APEXFiz achieves realistic textile simulations for woven, knit, print, pile and embroidery fabrics.
The company will also highlight its Shima Online Services, including yarnbank, a digital yarn sourcing platform offering downloadable yarn data, and SHIMA Datamall, a web service providing content for streamlining planning and production. Registration for both services is free.
Shima Seiki will host a seminar titled New Era of Digital Fabric: End-to-End DPC Solution on Wednesday 3 September at Hall 4.1-C131, during the three-day fair at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
