Iluna Group, a leading European producer of lingerie, lace, beachwear and bridal products, has been selected among the protagonists of the Sustainable Thinking exhibition at the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, for its value in the field of responsible innovation.

“It is precisely the materials and the know-how of the processes which are the focus, as well as the constant research and quality, which has long distinguished the Cuggiono company. The excellence of the ingredients we use, in fact, is 100% built on responsible innovation, granting it certifications issued by the most authoritative control bodies in the sector,” the producer explains.

The company’s Made in Italy smart lace is certified Global Recycled Standard (GRS). It uses Q -Nova by Fulgar polyamide 6,6 fibre, obtained from post-industrial raw materials, as well as the first range of sustainable premium elastic fibre, Roica Eco-Smart. Produced by Asahi Kasei, Roica Eco-Smart is a range of the responsibly made premium stretch fibres including Roica smart yarns. The yarn selected by Iluna is Roica EF, constructed out of more than 50% pre-consumer recycled content.

On 12 April 2019 in Florence, the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum has inaugurated a real narrative journey on the pioneering intuitions of its founder, in the research on natural, recycled and innovative materials, as well as on the most recent experimentations in the field of sustainability.

Designed by Stefania Ricci, Director of Museo Salvatore Ferragamo and Fondazione Ferragamo, with Giusy Bettoni C.L.A.S.S. CEO and founder, Arabella S. Natalini, Sara Sozzani Maino and Marina Spadafora, the exhibition shares an artistic-cultural perspective on the vital issue of sustainability. The exhibition will take place until 8 March 2020.

“Sustainable Thinking is a narrative that aims to provide food for thought on the increasingly urgent and topical issue linked to a greater attention to the environment as a whole,” the company continues.

“A diversified key to interpretation, which speaks with the language of fashion, art and materials on the recovery of a more meditated relationship with nature and its profound relationship with technology, where the use of organic materials and creative reuse are fundamental aspects, as well as research stories and valuable materials, which at the end of their life are transformed into quality products, a concrete representation of the concept of circular economy.”

“An invitation to a collective commitment and to a conscious and shared way of thinking; from the art of recycling, to the recovery of manual traditions, to smart technologies, up to the rediscovery of natural fibres, for a real sustainable renewal, where Iluna fits perfectly.”
