Shima Seiki U.S.A. Inc. successfully hosted its sixth In the Loop webinar session on Thursday, 21 May 2021, to showcase the recent ‘Seed of Joy’ capsule collection developed along with friends and partners, who also joined the webinar as special guest speakers. Special guests were Tricia Carey, Director of Business Development for Denim at Lenzing, and Adriano Goldschmied, Founder at House of Gold.
The session started off with a video showcasing the collection for everyone’s reference and went on to discuss how the project came about with Adriano Goldshcmied’s vision and guidance. Adriano shared his thoughts on creating a truly sustainable product through Lenzing’s innovation, whilst Tricia Carey, later on explained how the processing of Tencel fibres makes the yarns more sustainable and saves on resources. At the same time, the fibre can achieve real wash effects like denim and clears rub fastness as well and is OEKO-TEX certified, giving peace of mind and safety to those who use the fibre.
